The Kawai CA79 is second only to the flagship model, CA99, and provides an immersive and enjoyable playing experience. From the touch of the keyboard to the impressive speaker system, everything is top class and will satisfy the discerning piano player.
In playing piano, the entirety of the player’s control over the instrument is via their fingers on the keyboard. Kawai have gone all-out in this area by giving each individual key an extra long, solid wood keystick, its own weight as would be found on a Kawai acoustic grand piano, ebony and ivory keytops and a triple sensor system which all combine to give the player absolute control of every nuance of the pieces they play.
The sound that is produced by the piano has been given just as much attention and it starts with Kawai’s SK-EX Rendering engine in Pianist mode, and players can adjust details of the sound via the touchscreen, such as hammer hardness and string resonance. The sound is output via a six speaker system which caters to the whole range of the piano.
Performances can be recorded within the instrument itself or it can be connected via usb to a computer for expanded recording and notation functionality. The piano can also connect via bluetooth to Kawai’s PianoRemote app for ease of use.
