The Yamaha CSP150 combines the playability of Yamaha’s acclaimed CLP digital pianos with a wealth of additional performance features, all controlled through the convenience of your smart device.
By connecting a device to the CSP150 via the Yamaha Smart Pianist app, players gain the ability to analyse any song in the device’s library and create a piano accompaniment score, which in turn the CSP150 can use to create an automatic backing band arrangement. The backing band accompaniment can also be controlled in real time by the player.
The Smart Pianist app can also be used to fine tune every detail of the grand piano sound, from the hardness of the virtual piano hammers to the mount of string resonance. These features, combined with Yamaha’s amazing CFX Grand and Bosendorfer piano voices allow for the player to dial in exactly the sound he or she is looking for.
The CSP150 can accept a microphone lead and apply harmony effects from a singer. Whether the pianist is also the singer or if there’s a singalong happening, this feature makes for great sounding vocals.
Learning is exceptionally easy on the CSP150 due to the guide lamps. The piano features a row of 88 4-step stream lights above the keyboard, one for each key of the piano. By selecting a preset or user loaded song, the guide lamps will show the player exactly which note to press at which time. There are increasing levels, starting with the piano waiting for you to locate the correct note all the way up to playing the piece at full tempo.
The piano keyboard itself is Yamaha’s GH3X with synthetic ebony and ivory keytops and escapement, giving the player lots of expressive control over their sound.
